Dirt about Dirt Work
Recently with a client in Canton, they had been fighting culverts for over 40 years, it was now time to repair - to let the water flow correctly again!
Little did I know how much I would sweat on this job - yuck! It was super deep - over 5 foot deep, and full of the most stinky sludge around. Watching the earth mover do its thing, I chose to “help”. One step into mud, and my shoe was being swallowed, I hope to get it back - kind of. It was nasty and gave me a reason to quit - but NO, this client needed us. Mrs. N had told me her husband of 68 years, who recently passed, fought this culvert so many years - and we do admit they were a beast!! We were going to fix this situation. Lots of sweat and mud filled shoes, changing how to accomplish the task multiple times - the job was completed.
Lesson to be learned - take the time to clean your space - whether culverts or countertops. It is easier to do as you go. Until the next shoe losing adventure - we are ready to move the Earth for you - Big or Small - we do it all!
